Human eye

Human eye is an organ of human body that allow us to see .It is most sensitive part of human body .The human eye can see about 1 crore colours.It is part of the sensory nervous system.

When we look at an object, light from the object enters the Purple of the eye and falls on the eye lens.The eye lens forms a real and inverted image on the retina of the eye.The cells in the retina convert light energy into electrical signals.These electrical signals are carried to the Brain through optical nerve the brain.The brain finally interprets the signal and hence we see object.

Ciliary muscle: Ciliary muscle connects the choroid with iris. Contraction and relaxation of the ciliary muscle alters the curvature of the lens of the eye.

Pupil: The work of Pupil is to allow the amount of light to enter in the eye.It works in the human eye like a camera aperture.

Cornea: Cornea is a very smooth and durable part of eye. It helps to protect the eye from dust particles, gems and other harmful things.It is outermost layer of eye.

Iris:Iris  is flat and ring shaped membrane.It controls the size of pupil and allow to light  to enter in eye.

Lens: Lens is a transparent object which blind light in order to form an image.

Optic nerve: Optic nerves send the signals to the Brain.It is a very fast process.

Retina: The image of the object is formed on retina.

Sclera: The outer white layer of eye is called sclera.It is tough layer. Inside this layer,there is a black coloured layer called choroid.Sclera provides protective cover to the eye. Choroid decreases reflection of light inside the eye.
